How do you curl hair with heated rollers?

My hair is medium length, VERY thick and VERY straight..so it's kind of difficult to manage..if that makes any difference. How do you curl hair with heated rollers?
Since your hair is thick, you should section it into small sections. Heat the rollers, and I use a spritz of hairspray or heat protectant before I roll my hair, to help the curls last. Another thing is to buy the clamps to hold the rollers in your hair if yours didn't come with them. The clips that come with the rollers don't hold the rollers in place like the clamps. Believe me, they make a big difference. Also, you may need more than one set of rollers since your hair is so thick. How do you curl hair with heated rollers?
basically you just heat the rollers up and use section your hair off in relativly small sections(because your hair is thick it needs to be small sections) and use the included pins to put them up. depending on the look you want you might want to roll some outward to flip your curls out, and some inward. You might try using hairspray before you roll it, or mousse. It might take some experimenting.
you just take a section of hair, not too large and rap it around the roller starting at the bottom and roll it up to the top of your head.
take a section then put the curler at the end of your hair and roll up
