How can I curl my hair . . .?

My hair is naturally super straight, and thick. and I always get accused of straightening it. But I want very very curly hair. But it won't stay curled with heat, it will fall out in about 2 hours, so how can I get very curly hair without heat? or rollers, cause they don't work either. Is there any way I can keep it curly without hairspray? The most waves I've ever had is with a braid in my hair all night, it seemed to hold the best, is there any type of braid or something that will make my hair curly?

I got a perm last year, (and it didn't do anything to my hair except damage it)

Any help is appreciated.How can I curl my hair . . .?
1. after you have a shower put some mouse on it then put it in a bun (wavy) or plat (curly) when its wet.

thats what i do because im not alowed to curl/straighten my hair with heat.

hope it works for you!

Hair Help.Trying to Curl my hair!?

I have natrually curly thick frizzy poof hair. I straighten it all the time so its really dry and damaged..How can i curl it with a curling iron ive tried but it allways gets crimped and the end..don't say to braid it while its wet because i dont have white girl hair it doesnt work! also rollers are nnot an optionHair Help.Trying to Curl my hair!?
What you should do is go to sally and pick up so relaxer no a perm and so rollers. Make sure the relaxer is DR.Miracle. Get some plastic rollers. add the relaxer in hair comb it. then put the rollers in hair and sit under hair dryer for like 20 to 30 min and rise out. then place what type of hair spray you use in your hair.Hair Help.Trying to Curl my hair!?
if your curling it with a curling iron and its getting funky at the bottom that means you have to much out on the end and you need to go further down with the curler
Well I would go to your local hair salon and ask her what her suggestions are!! I hope I helped!!
I have the same kind of hair as you. Before, i'd always want to leave my hair curly but it gets all frizzy. But then I tried using a curl enhancer gel and just scrunched my hair up. :] The only downside to that is your hair gets really stiff. But at least it looks good.

How to get my hair to hold a curl?

I have longish hair that it very thick and pin-straight and flat down to my ears where it starts forming soft waves and gets kinda bushy and frizzes at the ends. It's of medium texture, not coarse but not super soft either. It's cut into a sort of shag that's layered all different lengths all over with the shortest layer at my chin. For some reason, it doesn't hold a curl. I have tried curling irons, hot rollers, regular rollers, putting it up in little buns, curling it when it's not washed, all to no avail. When I use a curling iron I spray it with good quality hairspray first and then curl it (I've tried all different sized barrel curling irons). I get a decent curl for about two minutes and the it starts falling out until I just get sort of a weird flip at the end. In the mean time I don't touch it or anything, it just does it by itself. I've tried both rolling my hair with the curling iron and winding my hair around the barrel. Both produce the same result. I've also tried using a flat iron to curl it with worse results than the curling iron.

Same thing with any kind of rollers, even if I sleep in them.

I scrunch my hair to bring out the waves all the time but this gives more of a messy wavy look than a good curl. (By the way, for some reason with me, scrunching my hair with a diffuser makes the wave fall out rather than adding to it. Anyone know why that is?)

Anyone know why this is? Or good ways to curl stubborn hair lol :)How to get my hair to hold a curl?
after you wet your hair , let your hair dry.....get a small section of hair at a time and use a curling iron, curl your hair then use a grandma roller and put it up, do that with the hole hair ...you can get those rolling curl at sally beaty supply, but don't get the smooth one ok, that don't hold your hair every good...hope it work for you..

How do I thickin African American hair?

have fine African American hair and I can't wash my hair. Is their Anything I can do.I was trying to curl

Y hair under tight but I couldn't with a flat iron because my hair was getting thinner by using a chi is there. Can I use roller to thickin my hair. Their medium size rollers. I wonder how they would look with rollers. Any tips without using thickining shampoo ectHow do I thickin African American hair?
Is your hair naturally thin or has it been thinned out due to breakage and chemicals like relaxers? If the former then you might be able to take hair vitamins, I heard they can thicken hair strands, I don't think permanently, though. If your hair is unnaturally thinning then I suggest you either stop relaxing or stop using so much heat (flat irons).

No, rollers will not thicken your hair strands. You can tease your hair and it might *look* thicker.

How to keep the curl in my hair overnight?

Hi, I just recently got my hair done...and I got it cut sort of short and layered.I am african-american I though the curl would stay in my hair but overnight it just completely flattens, even though I wrap it. I really do not want to flat iron it everyday to curl it. But with this cut, it must be curled or i will look weird. Should I sleep in some rollers? Or should i put rollers in the morning? and then like shower...then take them out? Should i not even wrap it? Just put a cap over it?...How to keep the curl in my hair overnight?
sleep with soft rollers on and wear a hair net or shower cap over itHow to keep the curl in my hair overnight?
Hair curlers.
Hair net
you can curl your hair with a curler and it will last till the next day depending on the curler you have

i like hot topics..
I would put rollers in before you shower in the morning. The humidity in the shower is going to dampen your hair and help it to pack down. They run a blow dryer over the rollers before you take them out to get out any moisture. You should be good to go.
my best solution to your problem would be to curl them as best as you can during the day so you they dont fall out and then hairspray them to keep them in hold.

when you go to sleep put the in rollers or in a cap but try your best to sleep on your side you dont flatten them too much.

(putting your hair up in a bun sometimes helps because it keeps the bounce..)0

in the morning, once quick spray of hairspray(recommended) or gel and then your done!
soft hair rollers and a silk bonnet

How to put curlers in your hair?

i want to curl my hairwithout using hot rollers, curling iron, etc...

I want to curl my hair with curlers. Can someone show me howHow to put curlers in your hair?
put the roller (preferably the ones a bit like velcro) at the bottom of your hair then role it up. this is much easier when your hair is damp and will ahve a better result. do this to all the bits you want to curl then leave them to dry. you can do this naturally or use a hair dryer.

If you don't, then you can always go to bed with braids.

You could also scrunch. Just take a shower, towel dry your hair, then get some hair gel and scrunch it.

If you are going to use a flat iron, always remember to use heat protector so that your hair won't get too damaged.

Hope I helped! How to curl my hair????????????
if you want a change go for it just remember curling irons do burn up your hair but it does look pretty whatever floats your boat
Culing Irons can be as low as $20 each and if you apply something to your hair before it can prevent too much damage. (Try Sedu Smoothing Heat Protecting Boost = abotu 13 dollars) that protects your hair when using curling irons,

Ive used rollers before but they dont work that well - the curling irons are best!

    Good Luck!! =)

Try curling it again with rollers, but this time use hair spray and it should stay, at least a bit.
curling irons don't damage your hair like you think...its ok to use them.

and if you go to walmart or something they have good curling irons for like $20.

Spray some hairspray on the piece your curling then hold the curling iron on it for a while then when you take it off spray some more hairspray on.

    and then repeat it.

wash your hair and let it air dry a little. put them rollers in while the hair is a LITTLE damp. roll one to two inch sections of hair int he curlers by starting at the bottom and rolling up. secure each roller with whatever it comes with to do that. make sure the curl is pretty tight. do this to your whole head.

then spray with a light hold aerosol hairspray.allover.

then sleep with themm in or hang out around the house with them in for a few hours until your hair is all the way dry and stuff.

take them out slowly, and brush it with your fingers (not a brush! causes frizz) if the curls are too curly looking and you wanted it more wavy.

then spray with a maximum hold hairspray.

    hope this helps.

    Curling hair question!?

okay. i have naturally wavy/straight hair (its a mix of both), and i usually straighten it, but it doesn't stay straight. at the ends of my hair, it will usually flip and so forth, and i recently got my hair cut quite short (its just above my shoulders now) to get rid of split ends. so for the upcoming school year, i really don't want to straighten my hair anymore, so i want it to be wavy. i tried to do it with my curling iron before i got my haircut, but it didn't work AT ALL. i did it the right way, but my hair just sort of kinked a bit.

so when my hair grows back to where it was before (about 2 inches below my shoulder), how can i make waves in my hair? and also, do rollers work better than curling irons?Curling hair question!?
heat just strips ur hair of all its moisture! the best way to get the waves/curls/curly curls and what nnot u want is to roller set! the curls will stay longer and it's less aggressive....there are different types and sizes of rollers.

Since your hair type is wavy, if u want a sleek straight look, use large vecros or thermal rollers(rub smoothing serum on damp hair and blow dry)

If you want neater fuzz free waves, use medium velcros with a metal core(wrap big sections of damp hair and blow dry)

if u want curls, use small plastic rollers(rub gel on damp hair, wind small sections of hair around the rollers, air dry, unroll and tousle. If the curls are too tight, diffuse a little to loosen up the curls....(diffuse=attachement on blow dryer)Curling hair question!?
Rollers can be a dangerous thing ;) If you do them incorrectly you can turn your hair into a giant poof ball. (I've done this, but I was experimenting, it wasn't pretty.) Would you want natural beachy waves, or more formal waves? Like curls? For beachy curls get a curling iron (Conair has some good ones for cheap) and wrap the hair around the barrel, inside of the clamp. It looks more natural that way. For more formal curls, take 1'; sections and curl the hair backwards! Forwards looks quite silly.

However, when curlers are used correctly, they are a lot faster in the morning if you do them the night before. Make sure to get medium or large sized ones.
well....you can do that to..but berfore you do that..(chaging you're hair)....you know my mother told me that to cut my sister's hair and mine..beacause her hair is not straight its soppose to be layerd..but what happend to her hair is(tikwas)in tagalog..sori,,,so what my mom desided is to cut our hair before going to canada...(were are just about to go to canada at aug.1)....and the hair of my other sister is totally is so curly and thick...but my mom never cut her hair.but just tream its like so unfair..beacause our hair are not yet being long... my other sister nad me......all we want is our hair is to be long....thats all.... well..you know other girls really want to cut there hair....but after they cut there hair....in 1 week..there hair are so ugly...but lucky for you.you're hair is fixed....if i were you..i will not request for another threatment at you're hair..... :) but its you're choise.......----------GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!----------

How well do rollers work on hair??

i would like to wear my hair in curls sometimes but curling with tongs/straighters takes ages and i dont have time in the mornings.i was wondering what the effect will be if i sleep in rollers?i dont know much about them will it look good in the morning if i just take them out or do i need to do more styling after i take them out? how do i put them in do i use product?are some makes better than others? thanksHow well do rollers work on hair??
a light gel will help your hair stick to the roller

i would take a practice roller test before i wear it anywhere important

depending on how long your hair is an how damp your hair is.. it may or may not dry

the easiest way of rolling up your hair is to take small strands and place the roller in the middle of the hair and rap it up.. use clips to fasten them

rollers are not very comfortable to sleep in

the sponge ones are more comfortable but they take longer for your hair to dry

hint: hairspray each strand...using the sponge rollers on dry hair.. this should put a nice bend in the hair

good luckHow well do rollers work on hair??
Rollers work great. If u sleep in them make sure when you take them out to use a pick brush to seperate the curls. The flip your head upside down and hairspray for all day hold. Hope I helped!!!
i dont think rollers work, they always fall out, and leave my hair frizzy and stuff. try it on a morning where you have no where to be.. i find that hot rollers work best
they work very well if you do them right. clairol makes an awesome set of rollers. they heat up in about 15 mintutes and stay in no problem. if you want to do it the old fashioned way, get the rollers you can pin in your hair when it is wet. when you wake up in the morning your hair will be super curly.
my grama sleeps in rollers and once shes done she gits a pick and fixs it how she wonts it and then uses hair spray
Rollers hurt to sleep in and you have to roll them just right or you will wake up to a frizzy disaster. I have a little alternative that a wise older woman told me about and i have found it works wonders!

Start with damp hair. Put a small amount of mousse/leave in conditioner/gel throughout hair. Roll up two inch sections with your fingers to your scalp and pin them with bobby pins. Spray lightly with hairspray and unpin them in the morning. Depending on how big you roll the sections--you will either have tight curls or loose waves. I always add a little mousse after unrolling them but i have hair that doesn't like to keep a curl.
hair rollers are impossible to sleep with even the night ones ,the best thing is wash and towel dry your hair using a small amount of mouse put in rollers and continue to having your breakfast and what ever needs doing and hopefully they will have been in long enough to give you a curl if not then heated rollers are your best option.
instead of rollers you can use a curling iron

    they are so much easier!
well it all depends on your hair type and what type of curl you ar trying to achieve.. for african americans they do provide a tight curl that does need to be fluffed out and usually last longer. but the type of hair is really best to know to answer this ?..... generally if you wanted spirally curls, use flex rod and wet set it, for light bouncy curls i would use steam rollers and leave them in overnight and it also depends on the length of your hair that will determine how big the actual roller and size of curl

    Help on curling my hair?

i have never curled my hair with rollers (is that what they are called?) my hair is about 3 inches past shoulder length and EXTREMELY thick. i want big, relaxed curls, so what should i use? (i don't want to use a curling iron, i always burn myself, lol) thanks for all the help :) oh, and how would i even go about curling my hair with rollers in the first place? i am clueless!Help on curling my hair?
1)Wait 24 hours after washing your hair. Keeping hair oily makes it easier to stay in the curl. If you must wash it, such as if your hair gets unbearably greasy, use only a very small amount of shampoo, and do not condition it.

    Make time to curl your hair. If you want your hair curly the next day, start curling it the night before. Oftentimes, curls need time to ';set.';

    2) Dampen your hair. If it is thick and stubborn, make it wetter, but it shouldn't be so loaded with water that it's dripping. Use a spray bottle filled with water as it'll allow you to better control the wetness.

    3) Apply a product to help hold the curl, making sure to avoid applying any on the scalp or roots because it might weigh it down too much. Mousse, gel, and hairspray are most commonly used. Try different products and brands. This step is optional, though, because some people find that they don't need products at this stage, especially if their hair has natural volume or waves.

    4) Get a strand of hair.

    5) Fold the roller in half.

    6) Put the hair in between the roller.

    7) Hold the roller up towards the ceiling and hold the top of it together, and pull the roller up to the scalp.

    8) Begin wrapping the hair around the roller.

    9) When you are at the end, fold the roller down so the hair will stay around the roller.

    10) Apply a spritz of hairspray.

    11) Leave in for a approximately 20 to 30 minutes depending on how curly you want it.

    12) Unfold the end of the roller, and untwist the hair and you should have a pretty curl in your hair!

hope i could help!!Help on curling my hair?
Try the rollers you have to wear overnite they hurt but its worth it!:)
The best thing that works for me is using jumbo foam rollers..you can get them for a 1.50$ at a dollar store. wash your hair, then put them in over night..take em out in the morning and VOILA`.....

to use rollers, you take little peices of your hair and roll around foam, then shut the clip thing..its pretty self explanotory!

    hope this helps!!
To get star curls, i use the revlon curling set. You can buy them at Rite Aid and other drug stores. They come in 3 sizes large, medium, and small for all areas of your hair. They all are in a container which you plug in and heats them, curling your hair fast and wonderfully.
To get big curls, you need mousse, a curl holding product so that they will stay (tresseme has a wonderful curl spray that holds all day) a curling iron about 2'; (or you could curl it with a straightener or not curl it at all, just put the rollers in wet hair) and rollers 2 1/2 to 3'; depending on what kind of curl you want.

You can watch this video, it uses rollers with a curling iron, but you can replace it with a flat iron and curl your hair with that:

    http://pursebuzz.com/?p=11
    step one

after washing your hair spray hair spary or moose

    step 2 comb

    step three

divide your hair into a few parts and twist into buns and bobby pin them. and blow dry hair.

    step 4 CURL

wrap hair around a WIDE-BARREL. the wide barrel is vertical when you curl.

    step 5

    run ingers through them

and second do i apply those on damp hair or dry? once i wake up in the morning, i would want my curls to last a very long time, wat must i spray to have manageable soft curls instead of hard, spray-on curls? i kno there is a specific type of spray or mouse to apply to make it feel soft and long lasting..

tahnks everyone!!How to have loose, soft, curls in hair?
you want to use loose rollers.

then pull on them when you take them out.

it depends what kind of curlers you have. just to be safe, use dry unless they are sponge curlers, then put them in when they are damp.

you can use some of Herbal Essences curling products to make them non-frizzy, soft, and everlasting.

hope i helped! How to have loose, soft, curls in hair?
well, a curling iron would work best, better if ur hair is dry. if u want semi-curls then use a big curling iron, and curl the ends or the middle. and avoid using mousse or gel, b/c they would make ur hair all coarse. and use hairspray after u have curled ur hair, and do not touch it with ur hands a lot, b/c the oil from them would make them straighten out.

First of all I'd like to congratulate you on asking for help. Too many women w/ curly hair straighten it (badly) or leave it as is.

    Here's what to do:

    First

Wash your hair with a lightweight shampoo and conditioner

    second

While you hair is still wet, use a curl activator and crunch/scrunch your hair

    third

Twist each curl into loose spirals w/ fingers to create illusion of bouncy individual curls.

    Fourth

Use a diffuser to dry your hair

    Fifth

use a curl shine serum and finger a VERY small amount through your hair. (dime sized)

Once you are done I'm sure you'll like the natural end result.

I left some sites w/ the products you should use/buy.

GOOD LUCK !I have curly/frizzy hair how do I curl it with rollers and a curlign iron? best way to strighten it?
wash your hair and then put something like moose in it then you can blow dry it strait and then curl whit rollers or hot iron then spray wit hair spray for hold even though I'm black i have the same problem and do this to my hair
after shampooing and conditioning hair ( I recommend sauves new sleek shampoo and conditioner, it's super cheap %26amp; really does the trick!) towel dry hair and apply an antifrizz serum and a little hair wax with funger tips paying special attention to the ends of your hair. Comb product through your hair to distribute more evenly. clip up most of your hair and blow dry bottom section slowley, with a paddle brush. Make sure it is completly dry before letting down another section to dry. We frizzy heads now what moisture can do to our hair! continue this pattern untill all of the hair is dry. Apply a little more antifrizz serum to dry head using finger tips, again, paying close attention to the ends of your hair. Use your curling iron and iron the ends of your hair to insure sleek ends. Curl the ends in or out, thats up to you. Sounds like a task, but thats how it is with curley hair. If you stick to this routine, you will find yourself getting faster at doing your hair. It used to take me about 2-3 hours to do this in the beggining, but it only takes about 45 min- and hour now. Oh, and I have never really had much luck with rollers. So I would stick with the curling iron if I were you. Hope I helped you. Oh, and one more thing. All of this product and burning will do a number on your hair, so get trims every other month and use a face mask on your hair. Seriously a face mask. Once about every two weeks use it just like you would on your face. Your hair will feel so much healthier. Well, good luck with your hair.
I have curly hair too. I have been using herbal essance straightening shampoo and it really helps. before I blowdry my hair I use Clinique straightening serum...it doesn't leave my hair greasy like frizzease does. If I am leaving it just straight I run a ceramic flat iron over it, but if I want big loose curls I use velvet covered hot rollers in a large size. I then set it with frizz ease hair spray to fight humidity. It is easier to me to use hot rollers and then get ready while they are in, but if you want to use a curling iron I suggest a large barrel.

Only problem, is I am completely unept with curling irons. Spiral curling irons, rollers, and those hot rollers are options. PLEASE HELP!How to curl my hair like this? (with pic)?
It depends on the type of hair you have but I'm going to trust your hair is naturally wavy like mine so:

    1. Put a smoothing cream on your hair while it is damp.

    2. Let your hair air dry (but don't lay down on it or anything while it is air-drying) let it air dry so it is naturally calm and the heat damage is at a minimum.

    3. When your hair is dry, take a 1-inch barrel curling iron and curl your entire head in three sections: bottom layer of hair, middle layer of hair, and top layer. Hold the curling iron vertically and take small sections of hair and wrap them around the iron and clamp down. If your hair doesn't hold the curls well, spray your hair with hairspray WHILE the hair is in the curling iron. In the picture, the girl's hair is straight at the top and doesn't start curling until about 1/4 of the way down, so don't be afraid to start your curls at the same place. And don't be afraid to experiment with your curls either.

    4. Run your fingers through your curls to separate them and smooth out your hair.

    5. The girl in the picture has straight bangs, so don't be afraid to use the curling iron to straighten your own bangs.

    6. Finish off by setting your hair with hair spray.

I hope this works! It really depends on the type of hair you have and how thick it is and how well it holds curl! Good luck! How to curl my hair like this? (with pic)?
one of those curling irons that have a twisty piece on it, so it makes it wavy
Rollers huh. Use setting lotion first and then go for the kill.
apply mousse or wax spray, twirl around with fingers , loosely wind sections and pin with bobby pins. Let set or blow dry on warm low setting, let cool. Take out pins loosen with fingers, spray with finishing spray.
You need a large barrel curling iron. Hold the iron straight up (vertically) and wind the hair around the barrel, leave closed for a fewextra seconds then normal, and carefully pull the iron out of curl. Spray with hairspray and loosen with your fingers.

The smaller the sections of hair , the more defined the curls. The larger the section of hair, the more chunkier. Messier the look.

I know you said your no good with curling irons, but with longer hair you're really not going to get the same look with with hot rollers.
So you feel curling irons arn;'t your thing you will have to learn to practice then specially if you want curls you can't always get the same effect with rollers. But if you use rollers use semi to medium size for this hair turning the curls as you roll into the rollers put them on your head as if they were pointing north and south instead of east and west.

Or bigger barrel curling iron and twist it around the barrel hold and let loose slowly twisting your hand as you move the barrel slowly out of the curls let the curls cool down then you will want to finger the curls slowly twisting them around your finger a bit to keep the spiral effect and loosely separate as your unraveling again doing this only with your fingers then sprits where you want it to hold

  • How to make curls stay in my pin straight hair?

I have very straight, long hair. When i curl it with a curling iron, hot roller or anything it falls flat within 10 mins. you would never be able to tell it had a curl in it. my hair is layered and it comes down to my bra strap.

How should i curl my hair and what product should i use on it. i don't want to burn the sh!t out of it.How to make curls stay in my pin straight hair?
when its wet put Aussie aussome VOLUME styling mousse to it and scrunch it, which is like grabbing a handful of hair and squeezing i guess you could say.add more mousse when needed. finish with hair spray like aussie sprunch or aussie maximum hold

How can I get my hair to hold a curl?

I have hair that is not super fine, but not super coarse. It's not straight, but it's not curly either. Along those lines, it's not super frizzy, but it's not sleek either.

So, with that being said, how can I get my hair to hold a curl?

Two things I have tried are:

-A hot iron and various hairsprays/curl holders.

-Rollers at night and overnight... weird wacked out curls that are too tight.

I also don't want to do anything for professional purposes... this is just for the every day club scene. How can I get my hair to hold a curl?
If your hair is not super straight is should not have problems holding a curl! Try using Redken spray starch or hot sets. These are both pump sprays you use on dry hair. You can spray the hair before or while heat is being applied. Spray starch works awesome, if hair is super resistant try the Redken Hot Sets. Finish with fingering thru with a shine spray. Spray the product on your hands %26amp; rub together. Then gently finger into hair breaking up some of the curl to give a more natural appearance! Of course finish with hairspray! How can I get my hair to hold a curl?
Try a hair curling tong, you make them tight or loose curls
Well, I have a goood home solution.Roll your hair up over a pencil.Wait for one minute.Or more. If doesent work , then add a paper. To the pencil
it seems to me like you have tried a lot.

there is not much more you can do except play around with different ideas... find out what works best...

some peoples hair wont hold a curl...its unfortunate but common....

If you want you can get a body perm...

this wont make your hair extremely curly but it would give it enough support to hold a curl with just regular styling.

    GOOD LUCK
The best advice I can give you is:

    A. Try more curling products, including a curling shampoo and conditioner, plus mousse and a curling spray.

    B. If a Curling Iron isn't working, try hot rollers. :)

    C. If you do overnight what you can do is put them in when your hair isn't as wet so they won't be so tight. Also in the morning run your fingers through your hair to loosen them.

Good luck! Hope one of these helps :)
use vitress hair polish,it enhances your curls

Curl hair at home or in salon?

My hair is naturally very pin straight, it's always very difficult to get curls to stay in my hair for long. However, for prom, I want long, cascading curls. I have been trying to look online...and have done the soft rollers over night before, which did work ok...but prom will be on a Friday, school day. My school has an attendance problem and isn't putting up with anyone skipping. So I can't really do the overnight curls. I want my hair to look like how this picture looks.

    http://www.hairfinder.com/hairstyling/longhairrollerset.htm

Do you think I could get that same look from a salon, without it falling out too soon?Curl hair at home or in salon?
You can do several sections (about 8) of tight braid on your hair. Did lots of curls on my wedding day!

On the bottom of the each braid, do a pin curl or roll them partly with plastic curlers. Sleep on them.

When you're ready to style your hair, remove the braid %26amp; curlers, and finger comb so they don't get frizzy. And style as you normally style use hair accessories if you want to.Curl hair at home or in salon?
go to a salon, they are professionals. just tell them your situation and they will do their best to keep your hair curly. besides, prom is a big deal, relax and go to the salon so that you will know you don't have to do it and risk not getting it curled how you want it...
i would go to a salon and get a relaxed perm. that will make your hair fuller and better body. then if you would like to do your own curls at home it will be easy, good luck
Yes I think the salon will be able to do what you want done. They have alot of products in which they can make your hair almost do anything! I hope you have fun at your PROM. Good luck!
You should probally do it in a Salon.

How can i get my hair to hold curls better?

You could use some sponge rollers - they're very soft and make the hair pretty springy. After you take out the rollers, you could make ringlets or pull some of it back into a ponytail or with a headband. Practice it a couple times before Halloween so you have a better idea of how her hair behaves. She's got plenty, so you should be able configure some very pretty princess hair!

I don't know of any websites, but I bet you can figure this out if you practice it a few times.Whats the best way to curl/style a 5 year olds hair?
Your daughter is adorable. Do you have a female friend or neighbor who could help you with her hair.

I do not know of any websites.

you should get what you're looking for-you might not even have to buy the products she used to get the result.
I know this sounds crazy, but this might work. My friend made her hair a little curly by braiding her hair and rolling it on to a pencil hold it there for as long as you can and let go. It might take a while though, and like I said it might not work.

  • How to curl really thick hair without poofing?

I have really really thick hair with a natural slight wave and it goes to just past my collar bone. Since it's not overly long, I'm worried about it poofing out when curled. I really just want to do some pretty loose curls, but I'm not overly hair-savvy, so I'll take any suggestions you have.

Also, as far as styling tools go, I have curling irons, straighteners, and those velcro-ish rollers. How to curl really thick hair without poofing?
this is a pain but straighten your hair then curl it, it will come out really really pretty you can even curl your hair with a straightener (you tube curl hair with straighteners fr tutorials) and use a anti-poof cream sunsilk has oneHow to curl really thick hair without poofing?
What i always find is way better than a curling iron is to curl my hair with a straightener ive learned by watching vids on youtube just search for how to curl hair flat iron or how to curl hair straightener, its basically the same thing:P

but thats just mee, since curling irons they don't work on my hair so it depends on your hair:] but it always comes out great and my hair is like enough hair for 4 people!! yeaa that thick, it sorta looks poofy but it still turns out beautiful
Use serum before you blow dry your hair. Meaning while your hair is still wet, but not dripping wet, just sort of damp.

How can I curl my waist long hair?

Well. I have graduation pictures on thursday. And I want my hair to be curled. I've tried curling it last night with a curling iron but my hair's way too long to fit.

Do you have any ideas on what i should curl it with? rollers maybe?

and i want it to not frizz and stayed curled the whole day. please give me tips about it? (:How can I curl my waist long hair?
Well this is what I would do!! Iam 15 and have very curly hair but my two sisters do not and neither does my cousins and all of them always want to curl there hair like mine. I can never give them the super small rigglets I have without profession help or a purm!! I can never ever use a curling iron because like yours there hair is to long and two thick what you do

    (1) After washing your hair put a curly helper cream

    (2) let it get almost dry

(3)Get BIG curlers even though they look big in long hair they curl that really pretty nice wavy curl that most the movie stars have

    (4) before putting peices of your hair in the curlers spray with a bit of hair spray to make sure that it will dry into place without falling or frizzing in the middle of the day

    (5) let it sit for at least a couple hours(4 hrs) because most people take the curler out as soon as it is dry and that will usally make it fall quicker leave it in as long as you can

    (6) Spray it with a little more hair (Caution dont use to much hair spray)

    (7) if you have a defuser put it on low and cool and put it on your hair for a couple minutes and that will also help a bit

    hope this helps you

GOOD LUCKHow can I curl my waist long hair?
    hairspray and rollers
    chi one inch curler
pomade and orange juice can/toilet paper roll rollers.
try different curlers and a smaller barrel size

get one that goes really hot.

i have waist length blonde hair and this works well

also, do it in small sections

    http://www.youtube.com/mazzi14

there is a good tutorial on there on how to create sassy curls for long thick hair. This worked really well on me :)

Also, the nicky clarke frizz control tong from argos.co.uk is really good :)
The night before, roll your hair up in rollers. Then, before you pin the roller to your roots, slide the hair off the roller and pin it to your scalp. Blast cool air over your head to make it set and spray on some hairspray. Sleep face down so you don't mess up the curls. Take them out in the morning and add another mist of hairspray.
It's going to take a while but you need to separate the hair into thinner parts and then use some thermal spray. I use rusk thermal spray and it works like a charm!

I'd also recommend straightening it first and deep conditioning the night before.

    Hope I helped! :D

    Bye ;D

How can I get my hair to curl nicely and actually STAY curled?

I have kinda thick, very straight hair. Whenever I curl it with a curler it staightens out within minutes, even if i use tons of hairspray. I also tried using hot rollers. They only curl my hair for about 10 minutes, then it straightens out again. The only way I can get it to stay curly is to put it in rollers (not the hot ones) while it's wet and let it dry overnight, but it's uncomfortable while I'm sleeping. Does anyone have any suggestions or techniques that work for them? Or products that make straight hair curlier? Thanks. How can I get my hair to curl nicely and actually STAY curled?
I have similar hair to yours, and I found that many hot irons and hot rollers available in regular stores simply are hot enough to get our kind of hair to hold a curl. I think the Conair one I had heated only to 360 degrees. Professional tools get hotter, like the Babyliss curling iron I got, which heats to like 460 degrees. You can get this one at Folica.com. The curls that stay longest have been from a GHD styler. It's looks like a straightener but has wider plates, and comes with instructions on how to do waves, curls and more. I am still trying to better at using this, but when someone who knows how to do it uses it, the curls last until your next shampoo! Good luck! How can I get my hair to curl nicely and actually STAY curled?
i have the EXACT problem as you do. ok here is what i do-

    1. take a shower and blow dry your hair

    2. spray hair with hairspray, i prefer ';aqua net'; available at any drugstore

    3. get your curling iron and curl your hair, spritzing with hairspray after every curl

    4. after you are finished spray all over your head for maximum hold

i know it seems like a lot of hairspray, but it really isnt. plus, aqua net spray make your locks feel like they dont even have hairspray in it, and it holds very well!

    happy curling
Okay, curl your hair like you normally do, (make sure to use heat protection spray!!) and then put in Tresseme curl enhancer. I got it at Fred Meyer for $5! It works sooo well. My hair is the same as yours, it never stays. But this works. When you spray it, it pulls your hair together and gets rid of fly-aways AND it stays all day!

    Good luck!
instead of sleeping on your curlers put them in when your hair is wet and take out your blow dryer and dry them with the rollers still in. It takes a while but always works for me.

How to curl hair like this?

im getting my hair cut like taylor momsen and i was wondering how to curl my hair like this.

i have naturally wavy hair. but my natural waves look horrible unless i scruch my hair. i only have an hour to get ready in the morning so i need a fast and easy way to do it. could i do it with pillow rollers and just sleep in them over nights ?

    thankyou %26lt;3

kayleighHow to curl hair like this?
Pillow rollers will likely give you more defined, curlier curls (lol). If you want that sort of relaxed curl, you could try taking really big chunks of hair in the pillow roller and as the day goes on, the curls will fall a little. If you have a bit more time, you can wrap large sections of hair around a large-barrel curling iron for like 10 seconds each. How to curl hair like this?
Are you absolutely sure you want to cut your hair that short? Cutting your hair means it might take a long time to grow back out. Taylor Momsen is actually sporting longer hair this season of Gossip Girl.

So before you consider committing to that short of a cut look at those pictures. These looks are pretty easy. Sleep with a couple of braids in your hair and pull them out in the morning for a tousled look. Use a little mousse to scrunch for more of a bed head look. To get more waves use a triple barrel curling iron and randomly clamp down on pieces for a natural look. Some days lightly straighten it so it looks more natural. Good Luck!
yes you can do the pillow rollers thing or you can just get a curling iron and do it quickly in the morning but when you put extremely hot things against your hair it will damage it and fry it eventually. so its a risk that you might be willing to take if you are going to do it with a curling iron.

Strait thick hair that needs curl?

I have bone strait hair. It doesn't stay curled AT ALL with a curling iron. The only way I can get it to stay is to sleep in rollers, and even then I don't like how tight looking the curls come out. How can I make my hair curl, and look like it would if i curled it with a curling iron? My hair is also long and reallyyy thick.Strait thick hair that needs curl?
Haha sounds like your describing my hair.

I started using tresemme's new line of thermal creations products.

The curl activator spray really seems to be working for me.

I spray the strand, and then curl it, wait about 30 seconds and to-dah :]

It takes a while because I have a lot of hair, but it turns out really cute. Here's the tresemme spray I mentioned, it's also available in Giant (the food store) and pretty much everywhere!

OK ya know I'm the same way ***BUT*** I have have THICK THICK THICK hair but its curly and wont stay STRAIGHT so what i do is really condition it NOT with chep conditioner Kinda like BIOLOGE or something like that but do that then BLOW DRY it with a big round brush until its completley dry......CURL IT and if you curl iron it keep the curl iron in your hair for at least 4 seconds and slowly unroll it......If you put curlers in keep them in until they are completley cool and let them roll out DONT USE SPONGE ROLLERS they never stay in!

Then after your done spray it with hairspary but not till its stiff I HOPE I HELPED YOU WITH YOU PROBABLEM
Lol man lucky. I want thick hair wat i would do is get tousle me softly mouse or wonder waves by herbal essence and then when it wet get it in sections and twist it into to princess Leia buns if u know wat i mean if not here is a picture then put insanely huge bobby pins in them they have them just look for it but do that sleep on it . And in the morning it will be wavy. Then put gel in it and scrunch it a little and mess it up the it will be good to go. ; ) hope it works

Hi, I'm a hairstylist! Her hair looks more like it was pre-straightened. And the wave only looks as if it's on the ends. I really don't think that she curled it. You can use your hair straightener to make waves in your hair, ask you hairstylist to show you how to do it with your straightener, i think that's the best way to go. Or you can use really BIG rollers, and only roll them up halfway, and let them sit for a while, then shake it out with your fingers. How to curl hair like this?
yeah, just sleep in with rollers on and then take your hair out in the morning. [hair should be wet/damp when doing this]
i would shower at night, blowdry it straight, then in the morning, use a fat barrel iron to curl yourhair. you only have an hour? WAKE UP EALRIER IF TIME IS AN ISSUE =P
Here's a quick and easy technique you can use to get a mass of curls.. Shampoo and condition your hair normally. Towel dry. Create a bun at the nape of your neck by twisting your hair as you shape it into the bun.

then apply hair spray called Shockwaves Curl Energy Spray from wella

Pin your newly formed bun into place.

Allow your hair to air dry naturally. When hair is dry, take the pins out of your hair and should have long, loose, sexy waves.
Oh omg i have the same hair this is what i do to get that hair u can use paper towels..rags or w.e stuff liek that not soft can withstand wet..

    heres the video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n鈥?/a>

Here when u get curls like that already start combing ur hair until u get the style u like...OK?and then if it wont come out put some bedhead to comb it. .Or a gel or water..then the curls will soften and it will become like that...seriously i got the same hair or just ask ur hairstyler to get choppy layers...with a razor..to help the effect.
as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.

Try this tutorial out so you can see what I''m talking about:

  • Straightening hair without losing volume?

I like to straighten my hair, because when I dont, it's frizzy and unmanageable. I curl my hair with rollers first, and then straighten it with a flat iron (because curling it makes it alot easier). But when I straighten my hair, I loose all the volume? How can I get straight, un-frizzy hair, without having it go completely limp?

ps- Its really hard for me to blow-dry my hair, so is there any other way?

    Thanks!!Straightening hair without losing volume?
I've tried a lot of volumizing shampoos and conditioners but I found Bedhead's Superstar line to be the best!Straightening hair without losing volume?
you do it regularly but instead of straightening it completely straight you will king of curve then machine toward your head like flipping it in. then youll do the top of the hair the exact same way youll have volume trust me i do it all the time.
Why is it hard? What kind of hair do you have? Its best to wash it really well, Put little or no conditioner, Towel dry it to be damp, Bend over and blow dry your hair from under, Then straighten it.

If you have a blow drier, dry your hair not using a brush. That will give you a bit of volume. (Brush your hair out after) Then take your curling iron wrap maybe an inch thick of your hair in it for about 10 to 20 seconds. take your fingers and finger through your hair piece that you curled. (do this all over)

Take your curling gel and add a tiny tiny bit into your palm of your hand, rub your hands together and put it all through your hair. What could i do with my hair , i want a wavy look with the tools is have ?

Hot rollers just make my hair ridiculously voluminous and frankly it looks better straight when i use them

Foam rollers cause my hair to break. I cant seem to get my hair to stay just on the little foam thing and when I take it out the hair isn't really curled at all.... Double trouble with that one

    2. Use Redman Anti-Snap to conditon

    3. Flat iron your hair.

    4. Then, use the big curlers and put them in your hair for about an hour or two. Blow dry it lightly(with the curlers still in) ever 15 min

    4. Take the curlers out after the 2 hours.

    5. Shake your hair lightly once curlers are out.

    6. Brush the top of your hair to make the curls loose.

Good luck :]How do I get my hair to look like this?
Big curlers are probably the answer here. Use a round brush when blow drying to get the volume you need and then use the big rollers to achieve the curls. Use a light touchable hairspray for hold.
well it helps if you have naturally curly hair, youre lucky!

and its actually fine if you don’t have a curling iron, if you know how to curl with a flat iron then I think youre all set! Oh and you'll need hairspray for sure. : ] pretty style too

How to curl hair without heated tools?

Hi we have a wedding coming up and my young daughter wanted me to do her hair nice for her. She is only 4 so im very reluctant to use lots of heated produts, i let her flick through a magazine to find what she wanted her hair styled like and she found a picture of a girl with hair like this

    http://www.haircutshairstyles.com/img/ph鈥?/a>

thats not the girl but thats very simular and i wanted to know how i could curl her hair without using any heated products or making her sleep in hard rollers or anything because she will never keep them in. Any suggestions? Her hair is natually straightHow to curl hair without heated tools?
this should really help you!! :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n鈥?/a>How to curl hair without heated tools?
Get a french braid. :) Keep it on for 24-hours and when you take it out you'll probably have more curls than Selena!
you could also take her to a salon and they would be able to do the style u found in the magazine. i think that might be the best idea...not sure if thats a possibility but i hope i helped in some way...happy new year.

    Sleeping with hair rollers?

So I move alot when I sleep, I want to try hair rollers to get pretty curls, But im afraid that the rollers will come out or get messed up. How can I prevent my hair rollers from getting messed up? I also have naturally curly hair, Will the rollers work If I sleep with them? (I dont like my curls I want a different type of curl) Thanks in advance=)Sleeping with hair rollers?
hair rollers can hurt at night and they can be annoying especially if you are a person who moves around a lot. have you tried about using hot rollers? con air has a set for a reasonable price. you just heat them up (takes 2 minutes) and you put them into your hair for five minutes and they are done. they also come in several sizes. these are frizz free.Sleeping with hair rollers?
You can tye a bandana around your head, Rosie the Riveter style. No, They won't and shouldn't turn frizzy. Before you do the hair rollers, Put some gel in your hair.

If those don't work for you, or are uncomfortable to sleep in, Pin curls is also a easy way to get ';pretty'; curls. It's easy to do, very comfortable to sleep in, and it won't get messed up.
With your type of hair, you may want to put a straightening spray in your hair before putting in the rollers so your hair wont be as curly. DO NOT FLAT IRON IT. Make sure the rollers are in tight. Don't worry about getting them messed up. Then the curls will look cuter, bouncier, and more natural. You can also use the hot rollers, as Tusia007 said, from Conair. I have a set, but the hot rollers aren't for curls, they are for adding volume to your hair. Gel will help with your curls as Santa's My Betch answered. Katie said to use a curling iron. That would work too! Hoped that help!
I remember when my mom put rollers in my hair she made me wear a scarf and a sleeping cap. My roller sets always came out looking nice.
im actually trying conair sleep in curlers for the first time right now so i dunno lol
hair rollers hurt at night so i wouldn't use them have you tried a curling iron?

  • How can i curl my hair with a straightner?

my hair will curl when i put it in hot rollers for about an hour, but i dnt really have time to do that! so how can i curl my hair fast and easy with my straightner?? please explain all the steps! thanks so mucH! whoever explains the best will be awarded best answer!!How can i curl my hair with a straightner?
straightner is for straining. thats why is called a straightner. u want to curl your hair? then go buy yourself a curlerHow can i curl my hair with a straightner?
u can麓t curl ur hair with a straightner...u need a curl thing to do that sorry
it's kinda hard to explain, but you curl it the same way as you would with a curler.

put the hair b/w the plates and twirl it, hold for a second then release.
    for one its a straightener

    its supposed to straighten

but it also depends on the type u have

some r flat and u cant do anything with

now some r rounded like mine

first put it on a lower setting so it doesnt fry ur hair

instead of pulling straight down twist it while going through ur hair it will give a big curl unless u can rlly twist it fast!

    good luck
i curl my hair with a straitener every day, heres a flic to show you how it comes out!

i think it will go to curly for that kind of hair style

try Curling it with a hair strait_erHow will my hair turn out if i curl it with hot rollers.?
it will be very short since the rollers make ur hair small tight curls try using a big barrel curler...

i would put mousee in it blow dry it then make it loose and put it in the side pony tail

What's a way to curl hair without using a curling iron?

It takes like, 3 hours for me to curl my hair with a curling iron, so I want to curl my hair overnight. The problem is, I seem to have lost all my foam curlers. And I don't have hot rollers. What can I do to make curls overnight? (Not braids, that makes waves, not curls)

    Something like this:

    http://cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/127/94鈥?/a>

    http://home.rasysa.com/afloat/style/imag鈥?/a>

P.S. My hair does not hold scrunching, no matter how much mousse and gel i put in it.

Thank you! What's a way to curl hair without using a curling iron?
I would suggest getting foam rollers if you can but if you need it for tomorrow you can make rag curlers! cut up an old t shirt into strips and then wrap strands of hair around the rags then twist and secure the rag near your head. that will create soft curls overnight and they are not uncomfy to sleep with. also sometimes i just put lost of ballerina (twisty) buns all over my head and bobby pin them close to my scalp. i would spray some hairspray while they hair is still went and then again in the morning! good luck! :)What's a way to curl hair without using a curling iron?
You can try it with a straightner

Go on you tube and look it up
    2 ways without heat.

1- wash your hair and towel dry it until its damp. when your ready seperate your hair into two sections the upper and lower section ( like you were creating a half ponytail ) take the upper half and brush it back like you were making a ponytail and grab the ends and twist your hair til its all one big twisted section and then wrap it into a bun and tie it with a elastic. do the same to the bottom section. in the morning take out the buns and seperate the hair into small section of curls.

2 - when your hair is damp take sections of your hair .. spray it with hair spray and make a O shape with your hair by rolling your hair up and securing it with a bobbypin. do this wil all your hair and in the morning take it out.
you can use hair straightener too to curl your hair. just try to form curl using the iron
take a shower at night and while it's still a little damp wrap it in a loose bun (or 2 on each side) and by the morning it should be wavy like that.
    Those look more like waves

    so I would say use

the Sunsilk Waves of Envy line.

You put it in wet hair and twist your hair

in sections. Let it air dry without

    touching it too much.

    Good Luck
    it's super easy!!

put a little bit of mousse in your hair and part it into 4 parts you have to twist your hair into small buns...the tighter the curlier your hair will turn out. sleep with them overnight and you should get the look you want =D

    hope that helped
    you could use a straightener

if that doesn't work that there is something called paper bag curls

if you don't make the curls 2 tight and more loose

you could end up getting your hair to look like that

    here's a tutorial

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n鈥?/a>
do it with a straightner, it looks beautiful.

Take a section of hair, and clamp straitner down on about two inches from root of hair, wrap the hair around straightner and rotate circle around in a circle and start bringing it down, make sure you do it fast though. Also, if the curl doesnt turn out right, try twisting it around to make the curl look prettier. the curl from the straightner most likely won't look right at first, twist it around a little until you find the right curl.

If you want a video tutorial, try searching it on youtube. i think it's fast and effective.

    Thanks.

Hi there! Okay, I know a girl who has very straight hair and to get it curly like those pictures she puts product in her hair that is made to enhance or create curls when she comes out of the shower and her hair is totally wet. But if you want your hair to be like the picture then only put a little bit in your hair half way down because their hair was curled with a curing iron very loosely. In fact that doesn't take Although of time at all. Just loosely put the curling iron around strands in your hair around the bottom of your head. Use a large curling iron btw. Hope I helped! :)
yeahh i dont have a curling iron so when i feel like straightening my hair i use my straightener cuz i only have that. the wire gets all tangled but other than that it works really well! and i never straighten or curl my hair to leave them overnight, cuz when i wake up its all ruined. idk about u but i have bedhead lol. well, you should try it hope it works!!!

P.S. it also kinda depends on ur straightener too... flat irons work best!
You can't get the second look without using a hairdryer and a large round brush. That is a blowout. The first look you could get by wetting the hair about 3 inches from the scalp to the tips. Section off hair in 2 by 2 inch pieces. Twist the section until it looks like a strand of rope, and continue twisting until it rolls up on itself or you can roll into a pinwheel shape. Secure it to your scalp with a bobby pin. In the morning, take out the pins, and ';comb'; through with just your fingers.
I think that you should get more rollers but heated rollers. I'm gonna get that.

Im african american & i want spiral curls in my hair but if i put rollers in it will they still be spiraled?

My mother says i might be able to have the spirals for one day if I use a hot curler, but when i put rollers in them at night, she thinks the curls wont be spiraled anymore. How should I tie my hair up at night? Or how can i make them spiraled w/o a hot curler or with just rollers?Im african american %26amp; i want spiral curls in my hair but if i put rollers in it will they still be spiraled?
I wear spiral curls daily. I roll up my hair nightly and sleep on them and I have spiral curls. Just roll up your hair vertically and remove the curlers and I just let them hang and they will loosen up and I have spiral curls. I never use hot curlers. Everyone says I wear my hair like Shirley Temple.Im african american %26amp; i want spiral curls in my hair but if i put rollers in it will they still be spiraled?
just rollers should work! the smaller the tighter though. my african american friend has doen it before and its worked out fine
Rolling with rollers should be fine as long as you make sure to wrap the hair from top to bottom on the rollers. I use plain old sponge rollers and I get some really cute curls with it.
use spiral rollers they are sold at beauty supply stores.........put them in when your hair is wet and then sit under a dryer....not sure if you can sleep in the rollers but if not just wear a bonnet (also at beauty supply) at night and use your fingers to fix them a little in the morning
Omg your hair might be different but my hair is SUPER curly when I put on rollers but you'll have to hairspray the curlers after you take them out...just roll them on and don't do anything then the next day take em off....hot curlers will ruin/damage/dehydrate your hair even though it's a quicker method.

If you have a curling iron that has the medal piece to help hold the hair use that. but dont hold the hair with the medal piece, it ruins the curls and leaves a mark, just wait for it to warm up and then wrap your hair as close to the top as possible and then wait 30 seconds and let it fall into place, use any hair spray to keep it from falling apart (dont use a lot and do not use gel) hope this helps!
    Uhm....a curling iron?

  • How to use curl rollers?

for my hair (to curl it)

i got some plastic ones and i dont know how to use them. i can put them in and all but how do i make them curl my hair?

oh and if there is an easier and quicker way then to sleep with them in overnight please tell me :)How to use curl rollers?
Plastic curlers are the best way to style your hair. Make sure your ahir is wet or semi wet beofre rolling your hair, and make sure to put some styling gel in your hair before you roll your hair. If you sleep on your rollers, your hair should be dry in the morning. all you do is take the rollers out and brush/comb and style. If the rollers are not completey dry, try using a bonnet type hair dryer. How to use curl rollers?
well you can use a hair iron or a curling iron.

How do I get my hair to curl!?!?

I hate my hair. Its sort of straight until it gets just past my ears, then goes weird and has tonnes of kinks. Its not wavy but its not dead straight either. Whenenver i use rag rollers or plain rollers they dont give lovely normal soft curls, they just make my hair go really weird and all flicky. And when I try to curl it with curling tongs, the curls drop out in like an hour. What are some other methods (other than plaiting it and sleeping with the plaits in) that i could try?How do I get my hair to curl!?!?
First of all, try curling your hair ';dirty';. Don't wash your hair the day you want to curl it. Your hair will be too slick for the curls to stay. Plus, a little dirt will help hold the curls too.

Also, if you have to wash your hair before you curl, use product like a mousse. Before you curl your hair, spray that section with spray and then curl it and then spray again.

Good luck! How do I get my hair to curl!?!?
GO TO SALLYS AND BUY A CRULER
Try scrunching it. Take gel when you get out of the shower. It always works for my hair, because my hair is in the middle between curly and wavy, but it's really ugly.
try some serum, which will help your hair curl more. (any type of curling serum should do.)
    Get choppy layers.

and trust me it will look curly or at least wavy when you don't straightened
well go buy a good curling iron obviously and dont use conditioner the day b4 u curl it. i tried that and it stays curled the whole day. and hairspray.

    there yuh go :D

    this video should help :]

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca3k1syt2鈥?/a>
Steam rollers work best and wont damage your hair.
Is the straight-tong curler that thing you plug into the wall and curl one strand at a time with? That might work if you haven't tried it.

Although it's more of a pretty, wavy look then curls, I use the curlers you put in the heat thing, plug into the wall, and then roll and clip. I start with my hair just a little damp, and I leave the curlers in until they cool off, which doesn't take too long.
ok go to google and look up sponge curlers. they rock. they will curl any ones hair.you should get sum. if you don't want that then a perm will do the job
You need a good hairspray in a can (salon quality - like fat hair, Chi or Bumble and Bumble). Spray a section of hair then use a curling iron. Spray each curl again once you take it out of the curling iron. Do not brush until after you are done, then just pick through your hair and spray one more time.
Ever since I had my baby my hair has gotten all weird. It's naturally straight but now it kind of has this weird wave thing going on, but not pretty at all if I leave it to dry after I get out of the shower and do nothing to it. I either have to straighten it or make it curly. To make it curly, I use Aussie Sprunch Spray. I comb my hair out after showering, then flip it upside down and spray the sprunch spray all over, front and back. Then I blow dry it while scrunching it all over with my free hand. I flip it back up and do some finishing touches to the top layers with a little more spray and scrunching. Then I spray just a little bit of shine or anti-frizz stuff in it to keep it from getting too crazy.

I have thin hair so this method works for me because it makes it look ';bigger';. If you don't want it to look big, just do the process without flipping your hair upside down. You can always touch up the curls with water throughout the day, and it smells great.
Well, first, your hair shouldnt be super clean. like just getting out of the shower and blowdrying it clean. (if you have to though, then use BioSilk, which is like silk therapy/oil, or also a Garnier Fructis sleek and shine Anti- Friz Serum which is a litttle cheaper =D and its for unmanagable hair).. These products just help give your hair a little weight. Also, i had the same problem and i bought a straightner from the mall, that also curls and flips, its by HerStyler, and the name is Forever.. then you can use the Aussie instant freeze hairspray Extreme. It works really good, and keeps your curls in all day.Just make sure that it says INSTANT FREEZE. After your done curling your hair, just spray it all over. That should work... Good Luck =)

How do I keep my curls tight but not stiff?

I am experimenting with curling my hair. I curl it with a flat iron then roll it up with hair rollers for 30 minutes. After I let it down, the curl stays but I want them to be a sure thing, :) (I want them to stay as single curls and bouncy) I don't like the way moose makes them: stiff, nor hairspray.

What can I do? Please Help...How do I keep my curls tight but not stiff?
    dont use mousse or hairspay,,

get hairgel,, and dissolve it with water, once its thin,, add a little bit of lite baby oil (for softness) apply to your hair,, but not near your scalp, and blow dry. How do I keep my curls tight but not stiff?
Well what you need to do is get some paul mitchell styling after shower gel. You put that in while you're hair is soaking wet then do you';re origanal routine then get some herbal essance natural hair spray which makes the hair keep you're hold while keeping it bouncy and soft.

    How to curl your hair?

my husband gave me some hot rollers for christmas. i had asked him for some only because im tired of having it straight all the time and i dont like picking it up. i wanna start curling it now, and i get very unpatient with the curling iron. would the hot rollers work? and what is the best way to use them for really good results. How to curl your hair?
I bought one many moons ago, and it is sitting in my drawer, with hardly use to it.

I was happier using plastic curlers on my hair (same thing they use backstage during Victoria Secret Fashion show, and any other hair shows). There are other new plastic curlers out there now using clips instead of hair pins.

Good luck with yours, let us know how you like your new tool. How to curl your hair?
yes they will. Put them in, and spray once they are all in. Try putting them in neatly or they'll be wicked hard to get out.

How do you work jelly rollers

    http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk163

I want to curl my hair with rollers but I don't have those normal ones that are like 99 cents I have the ones that are in the picture up above.

and I have noo idea how to use them so if you have them or know how to use them then please tell me how!!How do you work jelly rollers
haha, I wish I could help you. I bought almost identical ones to yours because our cheerleading coach MADE us buy them so our hair will all be curly the same way. I've got five other cheerleaders here and we're all on our laptops trying to figure it out too. Hope you figure it out! I hope we do too, cuz we need them by tomorrow. Actually gonna go ask my mom right now. Good Luck!!!!!!!

How do I get my hair wavy, with rollers they get too curly?

I have over shoulderlength hair and try to achieve a wavy look. Whenever I use rollers they get way too curly. I have slight natural curls, should I straighten my hair before putting rollers on or use anything else instead of rollers???How do I get my hair wavy, with rollers they get too curly?
I just twist my hair when dry and put it in an alligator clip for an hour.

It gives my natural curls a soft wavy bounce. I touch up with a curling Iron, by taking big chunks and rolling them slightly, and then I use a large toothed comb and tossle it with my fingers.

It gives it a nice volume without curliness and it moves when I walk.

Rollers take too long and it's always a pain to do without using products in the hair that can weigh it down.

I find my way easy and effective to bring out the natural curls without the curly-Q look. How do I get my hair wavy, with rollers they get too curly?
Large rollers should give you a wavy look.
I always put some mousse on mine while it is wet and then braid it in several braids. The downfall is that it takes so long before it dries, but if you plan it far enough ahead of time it works well for a special event or date, just not for every day.
    BIG curlers
The best thing to use is John Frieda's Ocean Waves, it's a spray that will give your hair incredible waves. You can order it at www.johnfrieda.com or find it or something similiar in any store. Just look for ';Beach waves'; products.
After you have washed you hair massage it hard, to make it waveeee.....like one model does in advertisement
Large rollers will give it a less curley look. But they leave a parted crease where the curler was. I have the same problem and I use a curling ';brush';, not iron. It's like a curling iron except it has large bristles instead of a smooth barrel. After drying my hair I use the curling brush in the same pattern as you would apply the curlers. I only leave it on each curl a minute or so, and when I brush it out it is more wave than curl. Plus for me it doesn't leave the crease where the curler was.
    try using larger rollers or:

if you have a curling iron wrap 2 inch sections AROUND the barrell of the hot iron.

put the iron close to the scalp and wrap the hair around the hot iron. no need to open the curling iron and turning it and turning it and turning it (and killin your arms and shoulders and wrists in the process).

  • How can i get big lucious curls?

I have to go to a wedding this saturday and i want to curl my hair like how the celebs have it. i want big curls and stuff but i also want it to stay curled. usually when i curl my hair with the curling iron, the curls drop by the time i leave. and the hair rollers don't work at all. so i dont know what i should do...please help!!!How can i get big lucious curls?
maybe you should try something tighter like straw set curls or use the curling rods. yeah the curls will look thinner and tighter but they should loosen up from the way you describe your hair. if you start off with the curls being big and loose it you will lose the effect you want. i would try that and see if it works. you can also use gel to help keep the curls in place. How can i get big lucious curls?
get some mousse and setting spray and put in damp hair. Let it AIR DRY. dont blow dry cos it dosent work as well. Then use a set of hot rollers. Youll have to experiment a bit with the few days before to roll it just how you want.
What i do to get curls is I get my hair wet then I rool small sections of my hair up into buns and tie them up with a piece of fabric. You do the same until all your hair is up. I usually sleep with them in and take them out and hair sray when i wake up! lalala:)

How to curl my hair? plz help me..?

my hair is super straight, and i like to mix up my hairstyles. everytime i curl it with rollers, curling iron, it never works. i try sleeping on it when my hair is wet, and looks ok at first, but then it falls within an hour or two. is there a way that i can curl my hair without getting a perm? How to curl my hair? plz help me..?
oh ok same problem with me i have the straightest hair too. so what i learned is after you wash your hair blow dry it for just 3-5 mins or let it air dry for 5 mins. then put lots lots lots and lots of mousse on your hair then blow dry it completely until its dry then start curling your hair with a curling iron it might take you 1 or 2 hours. every time you wrap a piece of hair on the iron count until 20-30 secs. that will hold it up. i did it once and it took 3 and a half hours and it even stayed until the next day.How to curl my hair? plz help me..?
Wear tighter curlers longer, then when they're still in, hairspray them to pieces.
Pantene has a product now to make hair curl. Some kind of shampoo and conditioner i thimh
I have the same problem what i use is a curling iron its called Hot tools Professional Ceramics and what spray i use is matrix essential vital control hair spray
okay it could be a couple of things the first is over processed or under... when rolling it wet setting lotion is the best .. never roll dry unless you units a soft bend type of situation... the grade of your hair has alot to do with this question super straight have you been beveling your hair alot then you need to stop and deep condition it a s a p .. the conditioner helps protect it from all the stuff you do to yur hair... i say wash conditon it then style you cant keep sparaying and geling and curling away sometimes it will get rebellious when its needs nourishment....
    http://www.sofeminine.co.uk/mag/beauty/d鈥?/a>

    hope this helps...=]

you will find it at most drug stores in the ethnic hair care section. it works great to hold curls in hair that just wont curl. you put it on before you use your curling iron, rollers, ect.. trust me, i use it and i love it!! dont let the fact that it is a product that is made for ethinc hair scare you, anyone with pin straight hair that wants bouncy curls can use it.

What hair rollers to buy and how to use them?

I have long thick blonde hair about 21 inch, I want to use them with wet hair, and be able to sleep in them. I don't really need any volume since I have a ton of hair and i want the least time consuming. I want loose corkscrew curls(not shirley temple style), what kind and size should I buy and how would i go about using them to get that look? What hair rollers to buy and how to use them?

the length u described sounds fine. maybe change the size of the rollers to a smaller size so you'll get more curls in each lock of hair?

    How to curl straight hair?

    You will need:

    3 hair ties

    mouse

    hairspray

    and damp hair

    1. squirt mouse into you hands then run your fingers down you hair.

    2. put your hair into a ponytail

    3. make a messy bun

    4. secure your hair with a third elastic

    5. put about 3 coats of hairspray into your hair

    6. go to sleep for about 8-10 hours then wake up take the elastics out

    7. put one coat of hairspray into your hair and scrunch your hair and tada your hair is curly!!!How to curl straight hair?
You could take a small round brush and curl a section of your hair around it, then blow dry it and spritz some hairspray on to keep it in place.

I'm not sure whether this will actually give you ringlets, but I know you can curl the ends of your hair by using just a blowdryer and brush, so it might work. :)
Depends on your hair type, if it's straight and very soft products might not work, but you never know so follow this: put mousse all over on ur wet hair after combing, flip ur hair down and start squeezing ur hair with both hands for few minutes, after that put ur head up, put a little bit of gel on ur palms and squeeze ur hair up, that's gonna help u to get wavy to curly hair.

If that doesn't work, then you definitely need to get an flat iron that curles too. That I can help you with.

As for me I always use the first technique for every day look, and I use the flat iron for special occasions and clubbing.
It takes a lot to curl your hair without any objects....so this is my advice....take your hair in sections...usually three to four depending on how thick your hair is...the on the bottom section use a large barrelled curling iron and open it and wrap the hair around the barrell WITHOUT closing the clamp. hold for 10-15 seconds again....depending on the thickness. repeat through all sections of the hair and spritz with a light hairspray if your hair doesnt hold curls good.....and it should come out good!!! good luck! tell me how it goes!

How do i curl my hair like this?

Hahah I really don’t like Aubrey O'Day but I like her hair and how its lightly curled.

But how do you do that to one's hair? With a hot iron? Curlers? Hot rollers?

    Thanks.

How do I curl my hair like this?
that’s a tough one. I'm thinking a curling iron would workHow do I curl my hair like this?
It depends on how your hair is naturally...

if its straight than use about 1 inch hot rollers than spray it with extra hold hair spray THAN finger comb in and mess with it.

if its naturally wavy than just put finishing cream in it when its wet and lightly twist your hair into softer ringlets and let it air dry like that

if its curly than straighten it than do the hot roller thing.

Your hair wont look EXACTLY like hers because your hais is most likely a different texture than hers and everything and her hair looks like its kind of falling out of a curl but hopefully you'll get the look your going for. Goodluck.

p.s. for extra volume I'd suggest drying your hair with your hair upside down with a diffuser.
instead of clipping the end of your hair in the curling iron and rolling the iron up to your roots you keep the iron closed and wrap your hair around IT starting at the root. Use a low heat for loose curls like hers. It looks awesome if you turn up the heat and hold each curl for longer too. It gives your hair the triple barrel look
Okay how to lightly curl your hair you use a straightener, get a bunch of hair not a lot just a little go to the top of the bunch of the hair and use the straightener to slid down in a twisty way to the bottom (make sure the straightener is hot) and you'll have a curl. ;)
    I have three suggestions:

    1. Use a curling iron

    2. Use a blow dryer (with wet or damp hair) and a circular brush. Twirl your hair, dry with blow dryer and voila

    3. When you hair is wet or damp, use your index finger and twirl your hair and blow dry for tight curls. For big curls, use more than one finger depending on how tight or big the curls are
You can do that with a straightener or a large 1 3/4 inch barrel curling iron. I have done it with both and get the same desired effect. Curl it around the iron (straight or round) while pulling down on it. Make sure the iron is loose around your hair.
Yeah can maybe curl it with a straighter and then comb it out a bit.

I usually do that and it comes out somewhat like that.

Just get your straightner, turn it and pull down. It'll curl so just brush it down. =]]
take a thick curling iron and hold it facing down. Keep the iron closed, don’t open the flap. Take your hair and wrap it around from your roots to your ends holing the ends with your fingers. Pull it slightly and vouala!!
My hair is better and I'm a guy...........Just let it dry naturally and it will look better then that
