Do Orthodox Jews curl their hair at night with a roller to get that perfect spiral curl?

Orthodox Jews often have a spiral curl on each side of their head. I was wondering how they get that curl curly. Do they roll it up or do they use curling irons or what other method do they use?Do Orthodox Jews curl their hair at night with a roller to get that perfect spiral curl?
Naturally curly hair!Do Orthodox Jews curl their hair at night with a roller to get that perfect spiral curl?
the hassidic orthodox men and boys that have a curled lock of hair don not usually use an iron. Some have naturally curly hair, some leave it down regular and some do twist it up. Some mothers will put a curling cream in their sons hair, but most older men wll twist it up. non-hasidic men dont tend to have such long hair, at most it fits behind their ear or it is worn straight down.
Dont know, but I would assume they once pin curled it, so perhaps it is still the way.

My mom pin curled my hair a few times when I was young, the way she had when she was young. The hair is separated in small sections and then tightly curled around the finger and pinned down with bobby pins.
hahahaha omg what an awesome good question. I cant believe that never crossed my mind!!!
