Hair rollers, Homecoming Hairstyles?

So this year for homecoming I haven't quite decided how I want to do my hair. Last year, I curled it except it fell out before I even got to the dance. My hair will not curl with heat to save my life. It just won't stay put. Even with hairspray, and pinning up the curls to let them set. I was thinking about maybe using sponge/foam rollers, because if my hair dries curly, it stays. I've never used sponge/foam curlers and I was wondering if this would be a good idea to try out. Would they make my hair a frizzy tangled mess? How long do I keep them in for? Use them when my hairs wet? I want to try this a few times before my homecoming to be sure. Any advice, tips hints on how to use them would be splendid. Also maybe if rod curlers or magnetic would be better, tell me why you think it would. Thankyou :)Hair rollers, Homecoming Hairstyles?
I use foam rollers all the time. Never use silk rollers- they don't curl. Foam ones would be your best bet. First, take a shower and use shampoo and conditioner. When you are done, do not dry your hair. Take a wide tooth comb and comb out your hair. Part it at your natural part. Place the foam rollers into your hair. Keep the rollers in all day- very important. Hope this helps. :)Hair rollers, Homecoming Hairstyles?
